- Up-date to our August meeting
discussion on DelDOT Consultant Cost Reductions – DelDOT was able to
capture existing savings to avoid any further action except the following
two items. DelDOT has increased in-house staff in the Traffic Section and
has moved as many projects as practical to in-house staff for design.
DelDOT discussed pending letter to all consultants currently under
contract directing rate freezes for all consultant staff until June 30,
2010.
- Status of the TTF projected
revenues and potential new revenues for FY 11. – DelDOT anticipates
an $8 million short fall in revenues to be announced by DEFAC in December.

– a plan in place to assure that all ARRA funds will be obligated.
There is some talk about a possible second stimulus in June.

submittal – two projects are under consideration; I-95 Toll Plaza
and I-95/US 202 Interchange.
- Subdivision SWM approval coordination
between DelDOT and DNREC – currently a process is in-place to

speed process and provide for better coordinated comments. There is
supposed to be a memorandum of understanding in the works between DelDOT
& DNREC.

Plan Process tracking application – the new process is in place and
functioning. All agree that the new process is moving projects through the
system more efficiently.

established open-end contracts will be reviewed in December and may have
terms extended until the end of FY 10.
- AASHTO Uniform Audit and
Accounting Guide – DelDOT is currently reviewing.

There was some discussion about DBE assignment and percentages. DelDOT
will review the process and look to get in-house Project Managers involved
in the establishment of project specific goals.
