RE:ÊÊÊÊÊ SUSSEX COUNTY PARTNERING MEETING MINUTES

A Committee meeting was held on August 14, 2007 to discuss goals for the fiscal year 2007-2008.Ê The following is a list of meetings that are to be scheduled within the upcoming months:

• Town of Milton Meeting öMilton is in the process of updating their comprehensive plan, determining the annexation growth area and discussing appropriate land use classifications for the growth area.Ê Plan to schedule a meeting with Milton Planning to get an update on these processes and request to be involved with the review.Ê
• City of Milford Meeting ö Schedule a meeting with City of Milford.Ê Follow through with Mike Riemann at August Executive Meeting to discuss possibility of joint (Kent and Sussex) meeting.
• Sussex County Planning and Zoning ö Sussex County is in the process of updating its comprehensive plan which expires this year.Ê They have just uploaded the First Installment/Draft Version of the Plan onto the website for public review and comment.Ê They are currently focusing on the Future Land Use Element and will soon be discussing the Community Design, Water and Wastewater and Conservation Elements.Ê There will be a series of public meetings to be scheduled in the fall for comment.Ê Propose to schedule a meeting with Sussex County Planning to get an update and request to be involved in the review.Ê Suggest sending an email to member firms requesting that they review the draft and I can produce a compilation of written comments to submit to the county for public record.
• Sussex County Board of Public Works ö Schedule a meeting with Sussex County Board of Public Works.Ê Discussed asking Tim Anderson to attend meeting as there has been hesitancy in the past with regards to coordination between BOPW and ACEC and Tim could help explain some of the benefits (based on experience in Kent) of the partnering meetings, etc.
• City of Lewes Meeting ö Schedule meeting with City of Lewes Planning and Board of Public Works to discuss current planning and engineering processes in Lewes and ways of possibly streamlining or clarifying the processes so that it is more efficient for both the City of Lewes and the consultants.
• City of Rehoboth Meeting ö Schedule a meeting to discuss any upcoming changes to the code or proposed ordinances and request that ACEC be notified and involved in any future planning discussions.
