TreasurerÕs Report – Mario Gangemi
A treasurerÕs report consisting of an account balances report, budget report and accounts receivable (A/R) report for November 2009 were reviewed and approved by the board.
Executive DirectorÕs Report – Mike Karia
The board discussed delinquent dues by Desmond A. Baker & Associates, LLC and Endecon, Inc. Each firm has not paid dues for a very long period time despite numerous delinquency notices. Additionally, Mike has contacted each firm by phone to discuss possible payment options, including installment payments, on numerous occasions. Both firms have been unresponsive. The board unanimously agreed to discontinue membership for both Baker and Endecon as outlined in our by-laws.
Mike and Ted met with Congressman Castle to discuss ACEC issues and plan on meeting with Senator Carper in January 2010.
Action Items:
Mike will contact ACEC National to discuss dropping Baker and Endecon memberships.
PAC goal is $4652. To date we have contributed $3970. Contributions credited to this yearÕs goal will be accepted by ACEC until 12/31/09.
Legislative Committee – Ted Williams/Rhett Ruggerio
Meeting was held with State Senator McBride. Items to present at the Joint Finance Committee were discussed. Senator McBride agreed to attend a monthly meeting at a later date.
National Directors Report – Tim Anderson
Tim discussed a push by ACEC to support using TARP funds on infrastructure improvement projects.

DelTech Program overview (representatives from all 3 Counties) – March
Another potential meeting is Dave Culver, General Manager of NCCDLU

The status of the federal transportation bill and possible additional ARRA funding were discussed.

The group discussed a new Kent County ordinance to allow intersections to meet a LOS D if they did not meet a predevelopment LOS D. An ordinance was also passed requiring sprinkler systems be provided in all new residential development.

Jess reported that meetings are planned in January with the City of Milford and
Sussex County Planning.

Shane noted that scholarship information has been distributed. Discussion followed to consider combining available money with other professional societies for scholarships.
