EnvironmentaL COMMITTEE REPORT

APRIL 2008

o ACEC sent to DNREC draft scope of work for preparation of a mock Pre-Application Plan submittal and performing multiple mock downstream analyses. The purpose of this work is to help DNREC introduce their proposed Pre-Application and Downstream Analysis policies to the engineering community. Work will be presented at a joint DNREC/ACEC workshop, date and time to be determined.

o The Sediment and Stormwater Regulations Regulatory Advisory Committee (RAC) met on April 03, 2008. Subcommittee chairs presented summaries of reviews performed by the various committees. Regulations still in draft outline form. A detailed draft of the regulations expected late spring/early summer.

o The Sediment and Stormwater Regulations Regulatory Advisory Committee (RAC) Technical Subcommittee met on March 17, 2008 and April 07, 2008. Randy Greer presented “What” the new regulations will include from a technical perspective and “How” the new regulations will be implemented.

o The ACEC Environmental Subcommittee will be holding a meeting in the next two weeks to begin a more thorough review of what DNREC has presented to date.
