Matt Goudy and Mike Karia continued coordination of Math Count Sponsorships with member firms. Matt indicated that Math Count ãadopt a schoolä letters have been prepared. These letters will be sent out at the end of November or early December to each member firm. Matt spoke with John Traynor (MathCounts Coordinator) and he reported that information would not go out to the schools for another week. John also indicated there will be volunteer opportunities available for both MathCounts Day and during the Competition. Matt will prepare a letter to send to member firms asking for volunteers when a list of positions is available from MathCounts. To date, only three schools have registered for the Math Counts Competition, to be held at the Delaware Technical and Community College ö Stanton Campus on March 13th, 2006. MathCounts Day at the University of Delaware has been scheduled for January 12th, 2006.
Matt also reported that ACEC Delaware plans to present a scholarship check ($1,000) to the Del Tech Engineering Department ö Terry Campus on December 7th.
